Unique Attributes:  As a student center, food service and dining facilities to serve the student, faculty, and administrative populations year around was a major design focus.  Included are six distinct servery areas (Deli, Salad Bar, Euro Station, Grill, Pizza and Emporium) served by one central state of the art kitchen.  This project incorporated many unique energy related design attributes including; solar glazing, exterior sun screen and interior automated motorized sun shades on two story window wall, and super efficient lighting.  Unique high end aesthetic elements included; exterior mahogany ceiling panels, concealed fastener cherry wall panels, cherry acoustical ceiling, lighted railing system, stainless steel railings, slate ashlar sculping, and fire rated aluminum glazed stairwell, all requiring managing long lead delivery.  An ISP based Pro-Log construction management system was used allowing levels of access for design team members, Owner representatives and construction team members.  The project also had a guaranteed Owner occupancy date with a sixteen month construction schedule.  This project was staged and coordinated with Owner personnel to assure safety and security in a very active campus environment throughout the construction phase.
