Fire crash rescue addition and renovations to the base fire station to serve the Vermont Air National Guard operations at the Burlington International Airport, South Burlington, VT.

Unique Attributes:  This project is designed to serve VTANG, the Burlington International Airport, and surrounding communities. Construction was conducted while meeting very stringent security and safety protocols as it occurred adjacent to a main entryway and runways for a substantial military installation.  The facility, which obtained a LEED Gold certification, features geothermal wells for heating and cooling, as well as a rooftop mounted 27 kw photovoltaic (PV) array for solar generated electricity.  Construction also features a highly energy efficient envelope designed to meet an exceptionally strict air infiltration standard.
