Construction Services

In the Design-Build method of project delivery, E. F. Wall and the project Owner operate as a team in assuring that project parameters are well defined and ultimately met. As a true collaboration, the Design-Build process yields a finished project that provides our Client/Owners the best value for the construction dollar spent. With over forty five years offering award winning Design-Build services, our experienced staff provide expert programming, code assessment, design, permitting, value engineering, systems optimization and project costing during the Pre-Construction Phase. Once it is mutually agreed that the defined project appropriately balances the Owner’s Primary Project Needs for function, aesthetics/image, budget and schedule, E. F. Wall will manage the Construction Phase of the project to completion.

In the CM form of project delivery, the Owner contracts independently with an Architect and a Construction Manager. As a team, the Owner, Architect, and CM work closely together during the Pre-Construction Phase and continue as a team through the Construction Phase. This method recognizes the direct connection between design options and cost/schedule impacts. E. F. Wall’s assigned Estimating and Project Management team members provide expert Construction Management services with reliable early stage costing, value engineering, and design input to assure that the Owner’s project goals are met. We enjoy a high level of trust and respect for our collaborative approach as CM from the many Owners and Architects we have worked with on many projects in the Health Care, University/School, Municipal, Office/Insurance/Banking, Industrial and Commercial sectors.
E. F. Wall has attained a high level of success and respect within Vermont and New Hampshire for consistently competitive bidding and professional Project Management working as a General Contractor in the Design/Bid/Build market. Here, the Owner contracts with an Architect to provide Pre-Construction Phase services. Once the project is programmed and designed, plans and specifications are made available to a select list of qualified General Contractors who bid on the project. E. F. Wall’s success as a General Contractor is a direct result of the superior relationships we maintain with the many excellent sub-contractors and suppliers serving our region, benefitting our clients with the favored pricing we receive from them. We also have the financial strength and bonding capacity to serve projects sized from a few thousand to tens of millions of dollars.
 

Highly Skilled Trades Staff and Safety Personnel

E. F. Wall is unique among the larger construction services providers in our market area in the size and skill diversity of our Trades personnel.  Our sixty five-plus Trades staff are highly skilled, well trained, equipped with the latest in tools and equipment, and committed to providing the highest levels of quality construction service to our many clients.  All Trades personnel have 10 hour OSHA safety training and we have a full time Safety Coordinator.  Our skilled personnel provide a wide variety of trades including rough and finish carpentry, concrete installation (foundations and flatwork), steel erection, framing, sheathing and roofing, windows, doors, partitioning, drywall, taping and painting, ceilings and finishes, window and door installation, trims, and many others.  We also provide certified welding and have a fully equipped shop to provide custom casework and cabinetry.
