Project Description

Randolph Village Fire

Station

Randolph, Vermont

This new fire station was constructed on the site of the prior one which was destroyed by fire in 2015.  The steel and masonry building includes a large meeting / training room, institutional kitchen, storage, office, locker rooms, and apparatus bays to accommodate fire, rescue and EMT services to serve the Town and Village of Randolph.

Delivery Method: Design-Build

Completed: March 2018

Owner: Town of Randolph

Architect: Black River Design

Unique Attributes:  Two adjacent residential parcels were acquired, and the buildings razed, to provide for appropriate parking area and site movements.  Site complexities included significant blasting and ledge removal at the rear of the property, and moving an 8″ water main that bifurcated the site from the rear bank to the street.
