Construction of a new 4,000 square foot building to house a new fitness center on the Vermont Law School campus.

Unique Attributes: This is a highly energy efficient wood framed building designed to serve as the campus fitness center for generations. Energy features incorporated into the project include: construction into the slope of a hill to take advantage of constant soil temps; use of 12″ steel insulated panels in the roof system; and highly efficient low E windows. The interior design features bamboo flooring, high efficiency lighting and natural cross ventilation. Best management practices of permeable pavement stormwater control and rain gardens are also part of this design.
